Summary A call fr research leaders wh will be part f the quantum technlgy cnsrtia will pen n the 16 th July 2018. The Expressin f Interest (EI) will be fr academic research leaders t jin the cnsrtia wh will develp the secnd phase Quantum Technlgy Research Hub prpsals. UKRI EPSRC plan t hld the initial cnsrtia briefing meetings in the first tw weeks f September 2018. Applicants will be asked t apply against research areas listed in the EI dcumentatin. The selected cnsrtia members will develp the secnd phase Quantum Technlgy Research Hub prpsals with the current Quantum Technlgies Hub research leaders wh have already been selected by a panel held n the 2nd July 2018. There will be pprtunity t add further academic expertise t the cnsrtia at the utline prpsal writing stage. Backgrund EPSRC as part f the Natinal Quantum Technlgy Prgramme (NQTP) are running a prcess t develp Quantum Technlgy Research Hubs fr a further perid f 5 years. Funding a secnd phase f the Natinal Quantum Technlgy Prgramme (NQTP) has nt yet been cnfirmed but this prcess is t ensure that the mmentum and capabilities develped by the existing Quantum Technlgy Hubs is nt lst and the wrk f the current Quantum Technlgy Hubs will be built n in a further 5 years. The purpse f this stage is t identify the academic research leadership that will lead the develpment f secnd phase Hub prpsals, and in all likelihd deliver it subject t review f the final prpsal. It is envisaged that these fur cnsrtia f research leaders will be relatively small grups. There will be pprtunity t add further academic expertise t the cnsrtia at the utline prpsal writing stage. The Cnsrtium building stages will take place in September and Octber 2018. The utline Hub prpsals will be submitted in Nvember 2018 and assessed by a Panel. The successful utline prpsals will btain feedback frm that Panel and will submit full prpsals in January 2019. These applicatins will be subject Versin 1 January 2018 Page 2 f 10
