DETA FOWMETER FOR GAS SERVICE (INSERTION TYPE) MODE VF SERIES GENERA SPECIFICATION GS. No. GBD0-0-E GENERA In the thermistor type Delta meter, a probe inserted in the pipeline detects the representative flow velocity in the line to obtain the total flow information. It is therefore especifically adaptable for metering flows in large pipelines. The probe consists of a basic unit to which a bluff body containing a thermistor sensor is secured and a mounting adaptor. The mounting adaptor comes in two types: fixed version and hot tap version. This insertion type is applicable to pipeline sizes 00 mm and up. FEATURES. Its capability of metering at high accuracy over a broad range of flow makes the instrument ideal for a wide range of gas metering applications.. Has no mechanically moving parts or elements to wear. It therefore withstands continuous service over extended periods of time with no change in its stated accuracy.. The rate of occurrence of output signal pulses in linear to the rate of flow, which simplifies integration with a total counter.. Unaffected by variations in fluid's temperature, pressure, and physical properties. 5. Small pressure loss, a particularly desirable feature in an age of energy saving. 6. Maintenance and inspection is simple. In the hot tap version, the probe can be withdrawn from the pipeline without interrupting the gas flow. 7. The preamplifier, separate from the basic meter, may be installed in any place for maximum ease of management, free from the particular piping conditions. Units provided with a local indicator which enables the operator to make sure of the flowing conditions locally are also available. GENERA SPECIFICATIONS Basic Meter Type of Installation Pipe Dia. For this reason, take flow straightening into consideration when you plan to install a Dealta meter. With OVA flow straightening devices (flow straightener (up to ") and downstream pipe), straight pipe sections are in most cases not required. But if you plan to use straight pipes only, secure the straight pipe section required in accordance with the ISO standards, using a Sch. 0 pipe, as shown in the table. Mounting: Pipeline hold-down span in areas where the meter is installed should be short enough to minimize vibration to the meter. Pulsation: If pulsation is present, adhere to the following condition: 0.7 V N < 00 where N: Pulsation pressure (kpa) : Density of fluid in service (kg/m ) v: Minimum flow velocity (m/s) Piping Condition Req d of ength Straight Pipe() Description Reducer 5D min. A concentric reducer upstread of meter. D min. An elbow upstream of meter. Elbow 5D min. Two elbows in horiz. plane upstream of meter. 0D min. Two elbows in vert. plane upstream of meter. Sluice Valve 5D min. A fully open sluice valve upstream of meter. Secure downstream straight pipe length greater than 5D. "D" denotes pipeline diameter, not probe bore.
