Current Operations Tornado Outbreak Texas A severe weather outbreak east of the Dallas, TX metro area spawned three confirmed tornadoes resulting in widespread damage. Current reports indicate the tornadoes did not hit any densely-populated areas. Impacts: Fatalities: Potential 5 unconfirmed; Injuries: ~52 o Canton High School was used as a triage/command center; patients transported to three hospitals in Tyler, Athens and Cedar Creek Lake Significant damage reported in Canton (pop. 3.6k) and Emory (pop. 1.2k) o City of Emory Emergency Manger reports direct hit, numerous homes destroyed/damaged (# homes impacted unknown) HAZMAT situation in Canton; fuel and unknown chemicals were released when a warehouse facility was damaged Tyler FD HAZMAT Teams responded Interstate 20 temporarily closed as approximately 30-40 cars flipped/moved near Canton Power outages: 25.5k, down from a peak of 36.6k across 6 counties (DOE Eagle-I as of 2:00 a.m. EDT) Response Initial damage assessments beginning amidst continuing severe weather threats and will continue Sunday Local Fire and EMS conducted search and rescue near Canton and Emory Texas SEOC at Increased Readiness ARC opened shelter in Canton, unknown occupants Region VI at Steady State NWC at Steady State No request for assistance at this time 2 (Back to top)

Flood Potential/Severe Weather Midwest Widespread heavy rainfall continues across much of the middle portion of the US from southern Louisiana to Michigan. Record and near record flood levels occurred in some areas. Areas of specific concern/monitoring range from Northeast Oklahoma across northern Arkansas and spanning north through Missouri and Illinois. Heavy precipitation has already resulted in flash flooding from central Oklahoma to southern Indiana, with significant impacts noted across parts of Missouri. Additional rain tonight (Sunday) in the area cause substantial moderate or greater river flooding that is likely to persist through the week. 48-hour Precipitation Totals As of Sunday, April 30, at 2 a.m. EDT there were 49 River Gauges were FORECAST to reach/exceed Major Flooding with 116 Gauges FORECAST to reach/exceed Moderate Flooding. Impacts: FEMA Region V o Injuries/Fatalities: No reports o Power Outages: 23.4k (IL: 14.1k, IN: 5.6k, OH: 3.7k) down from 73.8k (DOE Eagle-I as of 00:00 p.m. EDT) o Evacuations: IL: City of Marion evacuated Homeless Shelter to the Senior Citizen Center; City of West Frankfort evacuated a couple of homes within the community; Williamson County reporting some homes are being evacuated in the City of Herrin o ARC Shelters: 1 in IL (Marion) with 19 occupants.
