The indexes are designed to represent the performance of companies in specific market segments of the America or North America Index after the exclusion of companies that have certain exposure to coal mining or general mining. 5-Year Performance - Total Return 200 190 180 170 160 150 140 130 120 110 100 90 (USD) Sep-2013 Sep-2014 Sep-2015 Sep-2016 Sep-2017 Sep-2018 America ex Coal Performance and Volatility - Total Return Data as at month end FTSE North America America FTSE Index (USD) Return % Return pa %* Volatility %** 3M 6M YTD 12M 3YR 5YR 3YR 5YR 1YR 3YR 5YR 7.1 11.0 9.9 16.9 59.6 85.5 16.9 13.2 11.9 10.5 9.4 FTSE North America 7.1 11.0 9.8 16.9 59.6 85.4 16.9 13.1 11.9 10.5 9.4 America ex Coal 1.4-0.3-1.6 3.0 33.1 29.0 10.0 5.2 9.5 13.4 10.9 America 1.4-0.1-1.4 3.4 34.1 28.6 10.3 5.2 9.6 13.5 11.0 7.4 11.2 10.5 17.8 61.0 90.7 17.2 13.8 12.2 10.5 9.5 FEATURES Coverage Derived from the FTSE Global Equity Index Series (GEIS), which covers 98% of the world s investable market capitalisation.
