Environmental Physics, 2002 GPA: 1.27 (Grading System: 1 through 6 in increments of 0.1. Highest grade is 1, lowest passing grade is 4.) Oral Roberts University B.S. Engineering Physics, 2000 GPA: 3.69 Non-degree, 1997 Teaching experience: Yale University Teaching Fellow September 2008 - December 2008 January 2006 - April 2006 The positions involved weekly help sessions, on-demand tutoring and homework grading. Lecturer in Radiation Physics January 2002 - April 2002 I lectured a graduate course in Radiation Physics.
Work experience: Yale University Postdoctoral Associate June 2007 - July 2009 The project had two aspects. First, the derivation of a methodology for simultaneous determination of gas and liquid diffusion coefficients from pressure change and interface movement at non-equilibrium conditions in non-ideal multicomponent mixtures. Second, a numerical implementation of the resulting equations to be used to simulate lab-scale experiments. A one-dimensional code was developed for cases without natural convection. The increased mixing due to natural convection was studied with a two-dimensional code. ExxonMobil Summer Intern May 2006 - September 2006 A continuation of the project started in summer of 2005. Successful implementation of a new algorithm for two-phase flash in a reservoir simulator. ExxonMobil Summer Intern May 2005 - August 2005 I tested a new algorithm for two-phase flash calculation of multicomponent mixtures. The goal was to implement this algorithm in a reservoir simulator. Universidad Complutense de Madrid Research Assistant May 2003 - July 2003 I found the criteria for cluster formation of heterogeneous particles on a Morse ring. Norwegian Geotechnical Institute Research Consultant September 2002 - April 2003 I was involved in several projects and I will only mention the major ones. First, I developed a two-dimensional analytical model of tsunamis generated by submarine landslides. Second, I wrote a Matlab program for processing vibration measurement data. Third, I derived a simple onedimensional diffusion model used to predict oxygen variations in time and space in a hydrocarbon contaminated soil layer on Spitsbergen. Research Assistant April 2002 - July 2002 The time was partly spent on extracting articles from my MS thesis, but I also did research on 2
convection in porous media. In particular, I found the criteria for onset of thermal convection in a vertical porous cylinder with conducting wall.
