Understand the living things can reproduce, and non living things cannot reproduce. Know that living things have offspring that resemble their parents. Living things have different life cycles. A life cycle is the way a living thing grows and changes. Some plants grow from seeds. Young plants eventually grow into adult plants. Some animals hatch from eggs and some grow inside of their mothers and are born live. Some young animals look like their parents.
