Libra Full Moon ~ April 11, 2017 Hello Fellow Travelers ~ A moment ago it was New Year's and now we're zipping happily into Spring/Summer! That's just how fast it all goes, so please take a moment to savor each precious moment as it flies by...! We find ourselves now in the middle of a very busy Astrological month with four Planets changing direction and four changing signs. Take a look up at the night sky and in addition to Mercury, Mars and Jupiter, you'll see a brilliant ball of bright Moon light to help guide us on our path. On Tuesday at 2:08 AM EDT we will experience a Full Moon in the Cardinal Air sign of Libra at 21 degrees 33 minutes. As this Full Moon forms, it will create a Grand Cross involving 8 planetary bodies all in the middle degrees of Cardinal signs. The Cardinal signs are Aries/Fire, Cancer/Water, Libra/Air and Capricorn/Earth, so check your own chart to see how affected you might be. The Sun is at 2l degrees 33 minutes of very assertive Aries and within 3 degrees of two quite reactive planets, Uranus at 24 degrees 17 minutes and the dwarf Planet Eris at 23 degrees 9 minutes of Aries. This is an unstable and volatile combination opposing the Moon exactly opposite the Sun and Jupiter at 17 degrees 49 minutes of helpful and cooperative Libra. Adding to the dynamic tension are squares to both groups by Pluto at 19 degrees 22 minutes and the Asteroid Juno at 16 degrees 12 minutes in the wise and self-contained sign of Capricorn, as they oppose the solitary Asteroid Vesta in the sensitive sign of Cancer.
With this type of heavenly configuration, we are looking at heightened stress and possibly fear, especially if we fall victim to the lower-vibrational qualities of these planets and signs. The reason I always give the degrees and minutes is so that you can compare them to your own Natal Chart and become aware of how these events affect you personally. The three attachments (click each label above for each attachment) can help you understand yourself and the natural movement of life around the Astrological Wheel of Life more easily. Even though the Grand Cross creates dynamic tension, there are other planets scattered around the wheel that provide necessary release points. Saturn is in Sagittarius at 21 degrees 46 minutes, creating a trine (a 120 degree aspect of harmony, talent, luck & ease) the Sun~Uranus conjunction in Aries and sextile (a 60 degree aspect of harmony & opportunity) the Moon~Jupiter conjunction in Libra. All of this indicates that we can rely on proven principles and the strength of our ideals to guide us toward proper action. Also coming to our aid is the exact Mars~Ceres conjunction in the stabilizing sign of Taurus which is trine Pluto~Juno in Capricorn and sextile Vesta, reminding us to be patient, not jump to conclusions, to do our research, stay grounded and always be kind to others to help us move easily through any challenges that could arise. It might be helpful to go back and read the newsletter from the February 26, 2017 Solar Eclipse as developments surrounding this current Full Moon quite possibly relate back to actions taken and events that occurred at that time. Also assisting us during this Full Moon is Chiron just one degree away from retrograde Venus in Pisces, reminding us that when we trust, surrender and release our rigid controls, healing is possible on every level.
Astrology is so much more than just the Sun Sign, it's all of the other placements and WHERE they fall around the wheel that go into painting the full picture of your Soul's gift to you by means of your birthdate. It's a brilliant profile of everything you need to create a successful and fulfilling life for yourself and all those who are touched by your presence. It's a layering of energy upon influence upon energy, touched by where we are in historical time at this moment...and it's always in motion, giving us another chance to grow and become all that we are meant to be. A way to look at this that might be helpful: The Libra Full Moon is happening now on the existing template of the Sun in Aries - so look at your Natal chart and see where Libra & Aries fall, then check to see if you have planets in any of the other signs of influence such as Taurus, Capricorn or Pisces. It can be helpful to keep a diary of your experiences and emotions to see how you'll relate approximately one year from now when we experience the next Libra Full Moon in the month of April. In the physical body, Libra rules the ovaries, lower back and the kidneys. Be mindful of your diet while the Moon is in Libra, especially about NOT imbibing too many impurities during this time when the kidneys are so vulnerable. That would be too much alcohol, fried or rich foods, or simply too much. On Sunday the 9th, Mercury moved to Retrograde position, retracing through the early degrees of Taurus and into the late degrees of Aries before going direct again on May 3rd. This is happening subsequent to the final days of Venus Retrograde in Pisces (going direct on the 15th), encouraging a more introspective and pensive consideration of all of the values in our lives and allowing us to feel not only our true value, but how deeply loved we are by the Divine.
Mercury begins this Retrograde in a sign ruled by the Planet of Love (Venus) giving special emphasis to our love of self as we allow an exploration of the deeper value of our thoughts, ideas and intentions. It's a 3-week break for all of us to slow down, take a deep breath and allow proper time for all of the "RE" words in our vocabulary. Such as: re-flection, re-writing, re-alignment with our spiritual truths, remembering our deepest hopes, wishes and dreams and then loving ourselves enough to devote time to them. During Mercury Retrograde, go to the opera or the symphony or a favorite museum ~ re-membering to allow enough time to contemplate and to discuss with others the beauty and the value of your experience. If you've already put a plan in motion (such as putting your home on the market or applying for a new position) prior to Mercury going Retrograde, you should be OK - but use these 21 days to re-evaluate every aspect of your plans. Being sure to check and re-check all of your statistics, including measurements, time frame for completion of projects, and the actual amount of money required for any given transaction, and asking as many questions as necessary. Listen carefully, try taking notes with your hand and a pen on an actual notebook (trust me on this - it takes a different route in the brain!), communicate as clearly as possible and then re-check your data several times. Above all, be more patient than ever with everyone since they're having the same struggles you're having and perhaps they don't have the advantage of awareness that you're getting right here.
