Sishen Iron Ore Mine One of the world largest mines. Dec 2011 Sishen Iron Ore Mine, Anglo American Corporation s Kumba Resources, in South Africa, after one year of testing different systems they decided to choose ROCKMA as their supplier to equip all their drill rigs with ROCKMA system (21 rigs). 2013 Sishen bought 3 more systems. 2014 Sishen has put an order including 4 more rigs. Mogalakwena Platinum Mine, Anglo American Dec 2013 Mogalakwena Platinum Mine, Anglo American Corporation s, order from ROCKMA to equip all their drill rigs with ROCKMA system (22 rigs).
ROCKMA Open Pit System 1. High precision GPS positioning and navigation system - Blast hole positioning to centimeter accuracy. Including - Live server, Update server, SQL data base etc. 2. Drill Management system - On-line drill rig status real-time for all rigs in the office and on all rigs. - Reports - performance, drilling quality, hole depth, meters drilled, time drilled, etc. - Planned and actual, holes, meters, time etc. - Consumables, information and reports - Safety information (sockets, drill position etc.) 3. Block Designer system - Create blocks, automatic hole positions, avoid sockets etc. 4. Dispatch system - Site map with road map, blocks, rig position etc. - Communication system, facility for text messages from office to rig - Log of all drill rigs events and reasons for delays, brake down codes. - All, real time information. 5. Strata Mapping system - Rock hardness (MPa), fracture information, ore/waste, blasting properties etc.

Coal Mining Applications GeoConsult has recently partnered with Rockma to offer the system to the Australian coal mining industry. The system provides potential applications to both open-cut and underground coal mining.
Open-Cut Coal Mining Real-time monitoring of ground conditions during blast drilling. Poor highwall conditions can be predicted before a strip is blasted. Potential to vary blast powder factors based on geotechnical data collected. Mapping of marker seams/horizons to improve determination of top of coal depth.
Open-Cut Coal Mining (cont.) Mapping of geological anomalies such as dykes, sills, basalt paleo-channels Determination of the free dig horizon. Build a model based on the data collected from both exploration and blast drilling. Reduce dependence on widely spaced exploration drilling.
Underground Coal Mining Real-time monitoring of ground conditions during rock bolting for continuous mining. early warning of localised poor ground conditions. Improved determination of roof and rib condition during rock bolting ie. laminated roof, seam splits, massive sandstone. localised geological and geotechnical mapping in real-time.
