Concepts relating to law, society, power, and world views are addressed. Additionally, physical and cultural geography are included. GOALS/ OUTCOMES: 1. Provide a context to analyze and understand modern societies. 2. Develop awareness and appreciation for world cultures. 3. Show students that history is a useful record of human experiences. 4. Provide an understanding of how geography impacts the human condition. 5. Develop awareness and appreciation for ideas in art, invention, and social movements. 6. Each activity, assignment, quiz, project, and test will be assigned a specific value.
