The first 2 micro-watershed management plans (one in Caaguazu and another one in San Pedro) are being implemented and funded. The project continues to show progress and it is likely that the project execution rate will increase in the second semester of 2011. The partially blended GEF Project (Conservation of Biodiversity and Sustainable Land Management in the Atlantic Forest of Eastern Paraguay) is not effective. The Project Grant Agreement was signed on February 24th, 2011. The first extension for the effectiveness period has been awarded. Effectiveness is expected to be achieved by July 24th, 2011.
