New UHF Repeater in Iola By AC9F A new UHF repeater was turned on the first Saturday in November offering coverage in the Iola area and surrounding communities. It is a Kenwood TK 820 repeater, duplexers and a CAT 200 controller. The frequency is 443.600 + with a PL of 114.8 dual squelch. The repeater is located at the Iola Fire station on the cellular tower, up 80 feet. The ½ hard line from the 8 bay antenna feeds the repeater. Future projects include IRLP and an amp.
