ASX/Media Announcement 12 November 2013 New Zone of High Grade Gold Discovered at Balogo A broad zone of high grade gold mineralisation (Panga Lodes) has been discovered 600m north of the Netiana Lodes. An RC drilling intercept of 14m at 18.8 g/t gold from 34m, including 4m at 63.8 g/t gold (BRC270) has been obtained. The high grade gold mineralisation is associated with a series of quartz sulphide veins hosted in granodiorite. The Panga Lodes remain open at depth and along strike. Follow-up RC drilling is planned. Golden Rim Resources Ltd (Golden Rim, ASX: GMR) today announced it has discovered a new zone of high grade gold mineralisation (Panga Lodes) in reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Balogo Project in Burkina Faso. The Panga Lodes are located 600m north of the Netiana Lodes where Golden Rim has defined an Inferred Resource of 850,000 tonnes at 6.8 g/t gold for 185,000 ounces of gold. Golden Rim s Managing Director, Mr Craig Mackay, said The intercept of 14m at 18.8 g/t gold, including 4m at 63.8 g/t gold at the Panga Lodes is exceptional and suggests that we may have discovered an extensive new zone of high grade gold mineralisation at Balogo. The Panga discovery validates our recent exploration strategy at Balogo to search for satellite high grade gold mineralisation to supplement our high grade gold resource on the Netiana Lodes and to potentially enhance the economics of our proposed mine development. The tenor of the surface gold geochemistry above the Panga Lodes is subtle and there are many similar targets at Balogo that remain untested by drilling. We believe there is potential for further high grade gold discoveries, Mr Mackay said. Golden Rim has received all of the assay results from its recent 2,081m RC drilling program at Balogo. The program included 22 holes (BRC259 BRC280) and was designed to test auger gold anomalies at Netiana North and Kabola, and several additional targets to the north of the Netiana Lodes that had been outlined from previous auger drilling, trenching and rock chip sampling. Drill hole details and significant gold intercepts are summarised in Tables 1 and 2. Netiana North A total of 11 holes (BRC259 BRC269) were drilled to test anomalous auger and trenching results at Netiana North. The holes intersected a number of narrow parallel zones of gold and copper Golden Rim Resources Ltd I ABN 39 006 710 774 I Level 2, 10 Outram Street, West Perth WA 6005, Australia I PO Box 378, West Perth WA 6872, Australia www.goldenrim.com.au I info@goldenrim.com.au I T + 61 8 9481 5758 I F + 61 8 9481 5759
mineralisation, which Golden Rim now believes are SW extensions of the gold and copper mineralisation in the Cobra Shear Zone. The best intercepts obtained at Netiana North include: 3m at 1.4 g/t gold from 34m in BRC265 and 2m at 2.2 g/t gold from 32m and 3m at 2.5% copper from 79m in BRC267. Panga Two new drill holes (BRC270 and BRC271) were drilled at the Panga Lodes, which are located 600m north of the Netiana Lodes. Hole BRC270 was drilled to follow-up previous rock chip sample results (up to 3.5 g/t gold), a spot auger soil anomaly (533 ppb gold) and a NE-trending line of artisanal workings. It returned an intercept of 14m at 18.8 g/t gold from 34m, including 4m at 63.8 g/t gold (BRC270). The gold mineralisation is believed to trend NE and it is associated with a series of quartz sulphide veins hosted in fresh granodiorite with magnetite. The mineralisation is open at depth and along strike. Hole BRC271 was drilled 140m NNW of BRC270 to test anomalous gold results obtained in trenching and rock chip sampling. It intersected 5m at 0.7 g/t gold from 35m and 2m at 3.8 g/t gold from 111m. These zones of mineralisation trend NE and are parallel to the mineralisation in BRC270. Two previous holes were drilled at Panga. Hole BRC030 was drilled 40m south of BRC270 to test an N- S-trending line of artisanal workings. It returned an intercept of 2m at 4.4 g/t gold. Hole BRC173 was drilled 260m NE of BRC270 and returned an intercept of 1m at 13.8 g/t gold. It is possible this intercept in BRC173 is along strike from the intercept in BRC270. The drilling and rock chip sampling conducted at the Panga Lodes to date has identified multiple zones of gold mineralisation over more than 500m of strike. Most of these zones trend NE, are parallel to the Netiana Lodes and represent a priority exploration target for Golden Rim. Follow-up RC drilling is planned. Balogo Hill Three RC holes (BRC272 BRC274) were drilled at Balogo Hill to test NE-trending line of artisanal workings where previous rock chip samples returned up to 21.2 g/t gold. The best intercept was obtained in BRC274 which returned 3m at 2.6 g/t gold from 26m. Kabola At Kabola, six holes (BRC275 BRC280) were drilled to test an auger gold anomaly. Only narrow, low grade gold mineralisation was intersected in the bedrock in these holes, suggesting the anomalous gold obtained in saprolite intersected in auger drilling may have been transported from elsewhere, possibly from the Netiana Lodes to the north. -ENDS- For further information, please contact: Hayley Butcher Golden Rim Resources Company Secretary +61 8 9481 5758 Page 2
