Cnnectin Cnnectin f the MH-RC-KNX-1i t the AC indr unit 2.1 MH-RC-KNX-1i withut MHI Remte Cntrller The MH-RC-KNX-1i can be cnnected directly t the X/Y bus f the indr unit (n MHI remte cntrller -RC frm nw n- als cnnected in the X/Y bus). If this is the case, MH- RC-KNX-1i must be cnfigured as master (using the ETS sftware), see cnnectin diagram belw. 2.2 MH-RC-KNX-1i with MHI Remte Cntrller If a MHI remte cntrller (RC) is present and cnnected t the X/Y bus, there are tw cnfiguratin ptins: Wired remte cntrl available. Cnnect the gateway as Slave in parallel with the wired remte cntrllers (cntrller acts as Master). Infrared remte cntrl available. Cnnect the gateway as Master in parallel with the infrared remte cntrller (Infrared receiver acts as Slave). Figure 2.1 MHI RC PCB backside, Master/Slave switch Discnnect mains pwer frm the AC unit and use a 2 wire cable with a diameter f 0.75mm 2 t 1.25mm 2 fr the cnnectin f MH-RC-KNX-1i, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries remte cntrller and its crrespnding indr unit. Screw the suitably peeled cable ends in the crrespnding X/Y terminals f each device, as summarized in the Figure 2.2. Maximum X/Y bus length is 600 meter. MHI RC and MHI-RC-KNX-1i are n plarity dependent. Cnnectin f the MH-RC-KNX-1i t the KNX bus: Discnnect pwer f the KNX bus. ETS database fr this device can be dwnladed frm: http://www.intesis.cm/dwn/eib/mh-rc-knx-1i.zip Please cnsult the README.txt file, lcated inside the dwnladed zip file, t find instructins n hw t install the database. Imprtant: D nt frget t select the crrect settings f AC indr unit being cnnected t the MH-RC-KNX-1i. This is in "Parameters" f the device in ETS. ETS Parameters When imprted t the ETS sftware fr the first time, the gateway shws the fllwing default parameter cnfiguratin: Figure 4.1 Default parameter cnfiguratin With this cnfiguratin it s pssible t send On/Off (Cntrl_ On/Off), change the AC Mde (Cntrl_ Mde), the Fan Speed (Cntrl_ Fan Speed) and als the Setpint Temperature (Cntrl_ Setpint Temperature). The Status_ bjects, fr the mentined Cntrl_ bjects, are als available t use if needed. Als bjects Status_ AC Reference Temp and Status_ Errr/Alarm are shwn. The first field shws the where t dwnlad the database and the user manual fr the prduct. 4.1.1 MH-RC-KNX-1i is master in X Y bus This parameter changes the gateway s behavir, being able t prgram it as master r slave in X Y bus. If set t n, the gateway will wrk as a slave and it will be necessary t have a BRC remte cntrller cnfigured as a master. If set t yes the gateway will be master f the bus. It is nt necessary t have any BRC remte cntrller in this case but, if there are, they must be cnfigured as slaves. The next parameter is als shwn when selecting MH-RC-KNX-1i as master in X Y bus: Figure 4.3 Parameter detail 4.1.2 Send READs fr Cntrl_ bjects n bus recvery When this parameter is enabled, MH-RC-KNX-1i will send READ egrams fr the grup addresses assciated n its Cntrl_ bjects n bus recvery r applicatin reset/start-up. If set t n the gateway will nt perfrm any actin. If set t yes all Cntrl_ bjects with bth Transmit (T) and Update (U) flags enabled will send READs and their values will be updated with the respnse when received. Delay befre sending READs (sec): Figure 4.4 Parameter detail With this parameter, a delay can be cnfigured between 0 and 30 secnds fr the READs sent by the Cntrl_ bjects. This is t give time enugh t ther KNX devices n the bus t start-up befre sending the READs. 4.1.3 Scene t lad n bus recvery / startup This parameter executes a selected scene n bus recvery r startup, nly if the selected scene has an enabled preset r values previusly saved frm KNX bus (see Scene Cnfiguratin dialg). Figure 4.5 Parameter detail 4.1.4 Disallw cntrl frm remte cntrller This parameter allws: 1- Having the remte cntrller always lcked, r 2- Decide thrugh a new cmmunicatin bject if the RC is lcked r nt. If set t yes all the actins perfrmed thrugh the remte cntrller will be disabled. If set t n the remte cntrller will wrk as usually. If set t yes the Cntrl_ Lck Remte Cntrl bject will appear. When a 1 value is sent t this cmmunicatin bject, the remte cntrller is lcked. T be unlcked a 0 value must be sent. The gateway remembers the last value received even if a KNX bus reset/failure happens. Imprtant: If an initial scene is enabled and it has as Value fr Remte Lck (unchanged) r unlcked, this wuld unlck the remte cntrller because the initial scene has pririty ver the Cntrl_ Lck Remte Cntrl cmmunicatin bject. 4.1.5 Enable func Cntrl_ Lck Cntrl Obj This parameter shws/hide the Cntrl_ Lck Cntrl Obj cmmunicatin bject which, depending n the sent value, lcks r unlcks ALL the Cntrl_ cmmunicatin bjects except itself. 33 If set t n the bject will nt be shwn. T unlck a 0 value must be sent, as the gateway remembers the last value received even if a KNX bus reset/failure happens. 4.1.6 Enable use f bjects fr Filter This parameter shws/hides Cntrl_ Reset Filter and Status_ Filter Status that lets reset the filter status and als mnitr if there is a filter alarm. 27 78 If set t n the bject will nt be shwn. If set t yes Cntrl_ Reset Filter and Status_ Filter Status bjects will appear. When a 0 value is shwn in the Status_ bject, it indicates n filter alarm. When a 1 value is shwn in the Status_ bject, it indicates that the filter is full. Once the filter has been cleaned, alarm shuld be reset sending a 1 value t the Cntrl_ Reset Filter bject. 4.1.7 Enable func Operating Hurs Cunter This parameter shws/hides the Status_ Operatin Hur Cunter cmmunicatin bject which cunts the number f perating hurs fr the MH-RC-KNX-1i. 86 If set t n the bject will nt be shwn. If set t yes the Status_ Operatin Hur Cunter bject will appear. This bject can be read and sends its status every time an hur is cunted. When Off (decrease) is selected, the binary input will always send egrams with a 0 value fr a shrt peratin, and an decrease step fr a lng peratin. When Tggle: On/Off (increase/decrease) is selected: Fr the shrt peratin the binary input will send a 1 value after a 0 value and viceversa. Fr the lng peratin the binary input will send an increase step after a decrease step and viceversa.
