AUTUMN in the NAPA VALLEY AND NORTHERN CALIFORNIA COAST (BAY AREA) PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP Jack Graham & Ralph Nordstrom NOVEMBER 4-7 2010 COST $ 795.00 Jack Graham www.jackgrahamphoto.com www.jackgrahamsblog.com www.ralphnordstromphotography.com CONTACT INFO: jack@jackgrahamphoto.com 503-625-1430 relph@ralphnordstromphotography.com 949-589-0958 Once again Jack Graham & Ralph Nordstrom are teaming up for another California Photography Workshop, this time in Napa Valley and Northern California Coast (in and around the Bay area). Whether you are a beginner or a professional. The Bay Area and Northern California offer many diverse areas in which to photograph. Knowing where, when and how to shoot is the key. Small group instruction is a great way to enjoy your time in this wonderful area as well as learning vital information that will improve your photography.

Having lived in Northern California for over 10 years, and now, traveling back often to photograph, Jack s expertise to not only get you to the right locations at the best time and offer instruction in making quality images is extremely helpful. Ralph too has extensive knowledge of this area and brings unlimited technical as well as compositional knowledge that is so important especially here in this amazing location. Perhaps the nicest time in Northern California is in November. The crowds are gone, the weather is the nicest and the sweet autumn light cast its rays over the coastline as well as the inland valleys. After meeting on Wednesday night ( Fairfield Inn, near Napa California---info to be sent out upon registration) we will be in the field shooting all day Thursday, Friday, Saturday and until noon on Sunday. (Affording you the ability to get home Sunday night!) We will photograph in the Napa Valley, specific areas north and south of the Golden Gate as well as some city locations in San Francisco proper ( i.e. Ft. Point etc). We will spend time in the Marin Headlands and Golden Gate National Scenic Area, Pt. Reyes National Seashore as well as Pigeon Point lighthouse, Pebble Beach (not the golf course but the State Park!) and more will be visited in this workshop. Pigeon Point Lighthouse

Pebble Beach State Park Evenings will consist of informal sessions to discuss information on photographing in the area, critique sessions of your work shot during the workshop as well as general photography information. As with all our workshops, this is primarily a field workshop. We do not sit in a classroom during the daytime. We are out shooting & learning about photography in the field, not behind a desk. However, it is critical as well as being very informative, to take time to review your work, and discuss important aspects of making quality photographs. We will do this on 2-3 occasions, primarily in the evenings. Choice locations have been determined by many years of shooting in the Northern California The California Coastline Daily itineraries will be sent out prior to the workshop Please contact Ralph Nordstrom or Jack Graham as soon as possible if you are interested in a great experience.

WORKSHOP INFORMATION: Genera FAQ s can be found on a separate attachment to this email. Most of anything you need to know is found there. Pleas let us know if you have specific questions not addressed. LOCATION / HOTEL INFO San Francisco and the bay area will be our base of operations. SFO and Oakland are the Airports of choice as of this writing; we will be staying at the Fairfield Inn near Napa California. This will serve as the location for our informal evening sessions. There very few locations that one can be this close to civilization but yet in such remote beauty. TRAVEL INFORMATION You should plan on arriving for a get together on Wednesday evening prior t our workshop. We will meet in our hotel (Fairfield Inn, near Napa Ca.) to discuss itineries, logistics and define our goals for the workshop ahead. BY AIR: Arrive SFO or OAKLAND BY CAR: The airport is South of SanFrancisco and Oakland is about a 45 minute drive across the San Mateo Bridge (depending on the time of day you land!). FOOD/DINING We will be her to photograph not spend time eating long meals (which is so easy to do here in the Bay Area) However, we will always be close to great food. Vineyards in Fall Color

WEATHER November weather in Northern California can be fantastic. Sometimes it is actually warmer on the coast than inland. Occasional rain only adds to the rich colors and overall atmosphere. November features more good weather than bad. We will be out shooting rain or shine. But in ally my years in this area in November, there are many more good days than tough ones. More details will follow after registration prior to the workshop dates. HOW TO REGISTER: Attached to this email are the proper forms including information on deposits.
