I this short paper, we show that a fudametal part of the proof that has used to costruct some iterative algorithms by the iverse strogly mootoe ad the relaxed (u, v)-cocoercive mappigs, is ivalid. I the other words, we prove that several published results are wrog i geeral ad the we itroduce a way that the results will be valid, agai. The we itroduce a shorter proof for a class of these algorithms. 1. Itroductio ad prelimiaries Let C be a oempty closed covex subset of a real Hilbert space H. Recall the followig well kow defiitios: (1) a mappig A : C H is said to be iverse-strogly mootoe, if there existα>0such that Ax Ay, x y α Ax Ay 2, for all x, y C. Such a mappig A is also calledα-iversestrogly mootoe. (2) a mappig A : C H is said to be strogly mootoe, if there exists a costatα>0such that (1) Ax Ay, x y α x y 2. (3) let C be a oempty closed covex subset of a real Hilbert space H. Suppose that B : C H is a oliear map. B is said to be relaxed (u, v)-cocoercive, if there exist two costats u, v>0such that Bx By, x y ( u) Bx By 2 + v x y 2, 2010 Mathematics Subject Classificatio. 47H09, 47H10. Key words ad phrases. 2 E. SOORI for all x, y C. For u=0, B is v-strogly mootoe. Clearly, every v-strogly mootoe map is a relaxed (u, v)-cocoercive map. I this paper, usig a subclass of the iverse-strogly mootoe ad the relaxed (u, v)-cocoercive mappigs, we give some couterexample o the recet iterative algorithms. 2. The commets for the relaxed (u, v)-cocoercive mappigs G. Cai ad S. Bu [1], W. Chatarags ad C. Jaiboo [2], S. Imag [5], C. Jaiboo ad P. Kumam [6], P. Kumam ad C. Jaiboo [15], X. Qi, M. Shag ad H. Zhou [19], X. Qi, M. Shag ad Y. Su [20], X. Qi, M. Shag ad Y. Su [21], cosidered some iterative algorithm for fidig a commo elemet of the set of the fixed poits of oexpasive mappig ad the set of the solutio of a variatioal iequality VI(C, A), where A is a relaxed (u, v)-cocoercive mappig of C ito H. But, there is a case that makes throughout of the results wrog. Let A be a relaxed (u, v)-cocoercive mappig. They have proved i their researches that (2) lim Az Au =0, for each elemet u Γ, for provig that{z } coverges to a uique elemet of the setγwhereγis a oempty subset of C. Note that the equatio (2) is very doubtful i compariso with the followig coclusio lim z u =0, for a fixed elemet u F. For clearig our discussio, we ivestigate [15] for example, i the followig commet: Commet 2.1. Cosider Theorem 3.1 i [15]. If B i Theorem 3.1 i [15] is a α-strogly mootoe mappig the B is a relaxed (m, v)-cocoercive mappig ad LetΓ= =1 F(T ) Ω VI(E, B) cosists more tha oe elemet. Let{x } ad{z } be the sequeces itroduced i the algorithm of Theorem 3.1 i [15] ad p be a arbitrary elemet iγ. Note that i lie 3 of the Step 3 of the page 11 of [15], the authors have cosidered p as a arbitrary elemet ofγ= =1 F(T ) Ω VI(E, B) the they have proved i the relatio (3.25) i the page 12 that (3) lim Bz Bp =0.
SOME COUNTEREXAMPLES ON ALGORITHMS 3 Sice B is aα-strogly mootoe mappig as a more extra coditio o B i theorem 3.1 i [15] ad from (1) we have (4) Bx By α x y. for all x, y C. Now, put x=z ad y=pthe from (3) ad (4), we have lim z p =0, hece, sice p was arbitrary we have z p for each p Γ. This meas that{z } is diverget sice by our aother extra assumptio o Theorem 3.1 i [15],Γis ot sigleto. I the followig commet we itroduce some more similar results. Commet 2.2. The structure of mai results i [1, 2, 5, 6, 15, 19, 20, 21] ad similar results is ot valid i geeral. The authors of such these articles, usig the relatio lim Bx Bp =0, for relaxed (u, v)-cocoercive mappig B, have proved that{x } coverges to a uique elemet of the setfwhich is for some coditios ad situatios similar to commet 2.1 about [15] that is a cotradictio. This shows that the structure of all of such results will be poured dow i geeral. Now i the followig commet, we give a way to remai all the results valid: Commet 2.3. If we cosider the coditio thatγis sigleto i the related theorems, the the above fudametal obstacle will be solvable. For example i [15], we assume thatγ= =1 F(T ) Ω VI(E, B) is sigleto ad the Theorem 3.1 ad it s corollaries i [15] will be valid. Cosider the class of all relaxed (u, v)-cocoercive mappigs that have the coditio (4). I the followig commet, we itroduce a shorter proof of the strog covergece for the class of the metioed results. We do this for example for [15]. Commet 2.4. We put the extra coditio (4) o the relaxed (u, v)- cocoercive mappig B i [15]. IfΓ= =1 F(T ) Ω VI(E, B) is the sigleto set{p} i theorem 3.1 i [15], the from the relatio (3.25) i [15] i.e., lim Bz Bp =0 ad from (4) we have that lim z p =0 the from the relatio (3.33) i page 15 i [15], we have that x p x z + z p hece lim x p =0 therefore we get the results of theorem 3.1. The we ca remove all parts of the proof from the relatio (3.33) i page 15 to ed of the proof of theorem 3.1 i [15] ad aother extra part of the proof.
4 E. SOORI 3. The commets for the iverse-strogly mootoe mappigs J. Che, L. Zhag, T. Fa [3], S. Takahashia ad W. Takahashi [27], H. Iiduka ad W.Takahashi [4], K. R. Kazmi, Reha Ali ad Mohd Furka [14], X. Qi ad M. Shag [22], M. Zhag [30], S. Sha ad N. Huag [25], T. Jitpeera ad P. Kumam [7], S. Peathaom ad W. Phuegrattaa[17], Piri [18], X. Qi, M. Shag ad Y. Su [23] ad M. Lashkarizadeh Bami ad E. Soori [16] cosidered some iterative methods for fidig a commo elemet of the set of the fixed poits of oexpasive mappig ad the set of the solutio of a variatioal iequality VI(C, A), where A is a α-iverse-strogly mootoe mappig of C ito H. But, there is a case that makes throughout of the results wrog. Let A be a α-iverse-strogly mootoe mappig. They have proved i their researches that (5) lim Az Au =0, for each elemet u F, for provig that{z } coverges to a uique elemet of the setfwherefis a oempty subset of C. But this is ot valid, i geeral. For clearig our discussio, we ivestigate [4] for example, i the followig commet: Commet 3.1. Cosider Theorem 3.1 i [4]. If A is aα-strogly mootoe mappig as a extra coditio o the γ-iverse-strogly mootoe mappig A (as is said i page 3 i [4], we ca cosider this situatio o A) ad F = F(S) VI(C, A) cosists more tha oe elemet. Let{x } be the sequece itroduced i the algorithm of Theorem 3.1 i [4] ad u be a arbitrary elemet if. Note that i the lie 1 of the page 4 ad the lie 12 of the page 5 of [4], the authors have cosidered u as a arbitrary elemet off=f(s) VI(C, A) the they have proved i the lie 8 from below i the page 5 that (6) lim Ax Au =0. Therefore from the fact that A is aα-strogly mootoe mappig as a more extra coditio o A i theorem 3.1 i [4] ad from (1) we have (7) Ax Ay α x y. for all x, y C. Now, put x=x ad y=u the from (6) ad (7), we have lim x u =0,
SOME COUNTEREXAMPLES ON ALGORITHMS 5 hece, sice u was arbitrary, x u for each u F. This meas that{x } is diverget sicefis ot sigleto by our aother extra assumptio o Theorem 3.1 i [4]. I the followig commet we itroduce some more similar results. Commet 3.2. The structure of mai results i [3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30] ad similar results is ot valid i geeral. The authors of such these articles, usig the relatio lim Ax Ap =0, forα-iverse-strogly mootoe mappig A, have proved that{x } coverges to a uique elemet of the setfwhich is for some coditios ad situatios similar to commet 3.1 about [4] that is a cotradictio. This shows that the structure of all of such results will be poured dow i geeral. Now i the followig commet, we give a way to remai all the results valid: Commet 3.3. If we cosider the coditio thatfis sigleto i the related theorems, the the above fudametal obstacle will be solvable. For example i [4], we assume thatf=f(s) VI(C, A) is sigleto ad the Theorem 3.1 ad it s corollaries i [4] will be valid. I the followig commet, we itroduce a shorter proof for a class of the metioed results. We do this for example for [4]. Commet 3.4. We put the extra coditio (7) o α-iverse-strogly mootoe mappig A i [4]. If F = F(S) VI(C, A) is sigleto i theorem 3.1 i [4], from lie 10 of page 6 i [4] that we have lim Ax Au =0 ad from (7), we get the result of theorem 3.1. The we ca remove all parts of the proof from lie 10 of page 6 to ed of the proof of theorem 3.1 i [4] ad aother extra part of the proof. 4.
