Single-photon emission computed tomograph «EFATOM» (SPECT/CT) Tomograph is aimed for medical diagnostic tests of human viscera with imaging technique of pharmaceuticals distribution radiolabeled with gamma-emitting radiopharmaceuticals. In 2008 the EFATOM successfully tested in Hospital 83 FMBA in Moscow, showing its compliance with the characteristics similar to the current level of foreign technology. NIIEFA has the registration certificate FCR 2009/05499, that confirm the permission to manufacture, sale the EFATOM tomograph. To date more than 9,500 diagnostic workup was hold. overall view EFATOM under clinical investigation 9

Compact cyclotrons CC-12 a special-purpose cyclotron for producing 12 MeV proton beams The cyclotron is intended for producing ultra short - lived radionuclide's for production of radiopharmaceuticals for PET Under construction in one of Central European countries 10

Compact cyclotrons СС18/9М a cyclotron for producing proton beams with an energy variable from 12 up to 18 MeV and deuteron beams with an energy variable from 6 up to 9MeV. The cyclotron is intended to effectively produce both ultra shortlived and short-lived radionuclide's. CC18/9 Installed in: National PET-Center of University of Turku, Turku, Finland; Russian Research Center for Radiology and Surgical Technologies, Saint Petersburg, Russia CC-18/9M Under construction in NIITFA? Moscow, Russia. 11

12 Compact cyclotrons МСС-30/15 a cyclotron for producing proton beams with an energy variable from 18 up to 30 MeV and deuteron beams with an energy variable from 9 up to 15 MeV. In addition to routine production of commonly used radionuclide's, the cyclotron allows research to be carried out aimed at producing new promising radiopharmaceuticals MCC-30/15 Installed in: PET-Center of University of Yuvaskula, Yuvaskula, Finland;

Proton therapy 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

Why proton therapy? 1. Highly-accurate type of radiotherapy The maximum dose treats the tumor precisely The controlled penetration depth is up to 30 cm 2. Minimal damage to healthy tissues Minimal dose exposure of healthy tissues before the tumor Healthy tissues behind the tumor are not exposed to radiation 3. Maximum curative effect Increase in life expectancy Lower chance of secondary tumors 4. Effective radiotherapy for treatment of children with minimal side effects Minimal exposure of healthy tissues before the tumor Side effects are 8 times lower than other radiotherapies Conclusion: Proton therapy is an effective and advanced therapy able to save numerous lives. 14

Concept Compact and inexpensive solution* that will make proton therapy affordable to patients. Concept of the Proton therapy center is a result of scientific work in Russia since 1967. 1. Center s moderate size will reduce initial investments. 2. Costs of construction and equipment 40-45 M$ depending on selected configuration. 3. Modern methods will allow for gradual increase of the Center s admission capacity. 4. Exceptional oncological treatment. 5. Treatment of all disease locations at lower than the world average prices (due to customer flow and engineering compactness of the solution). 15

17 Irradiation center package solution for radiation technological treatment of the goods Irradiation Center - The affiliated companies of ROSATOM have gained profound experience in the irradiation management. We offer a package solution for planning, production and sales of radiation technological equipment and provide services in ionirradiation of different products. Main services: Sterilization of medical devices Irradiation treatment of food disinsection of agricultural goods Modification of materials Polymer crosslinking Reinforcement of tires components. Radiation treatment can be effected by 3 types of irradiation: gamma (with radioactive isotopes): braking radiation (X-ray): electron beam (β-irradiation). Irradiation causes the ionization process in the products tissue that leads to modification of the atomic structure

18 Irradiation center package solution for radiation technological treatment of the goods Equipment of the irradiation center: Particle accelerators and radionuclide sources of gammairradiation are used as generators in the Irradiation center. Particle accelerators Linear accelerator generating electron beams with scanner is placed in the shielding block. Main characteristics of the accelerators: Electron energy from 0,2 to 10 MeV Electron beam power 10-200 kwt Benefits: High productivity, user-friendly system of the process control. Parameter A convertor unit transforming electron beam into braking radiation (energy up to 5 MeV) may be used in order to achieve high penetrating power of radiation. Gamma-facility In a gamma-facility a closed radionuclide source with Co-60 is used for ionizing irradiation. Main parameters: Initial activity of the source 350±10% KCu (12,95*1015 Bq); Maximal capacity of the radiator 1000 KCu; Benefits: high penetrating power of the γ-irradiation, irradiation dose flexibility, irradiation process autonomy.
