AMARC REPORTS MORE SUCCESSFUL DRILL RESULTS FROM DUKE COPPER PORPHYRY DISCOVERY, BRITISH COLUMBIA June 2, 208, Vancouver, BC Aarc Resources Ltd. ( Aarc or the Copany ) (TSX-V: AHR; OTCBB: AXREF) is pleased to announce the results of a recently copleted, successful six core hole (3,00 ) drill progra at its 00% owned DUKE copper-olybdenu-silver-gold porphyry project. In addition, the Copany is pleased to report plans for the upcoing exploration progras at its IKE and JOY porphyry copper projects. Please see the corporate presentation available on Aarc s website at www.aarcresources.co. The DUKE deposit discovery is located 80 k northeast of Sithers in central British Colubia ( BC ) and 30 k north of forer ines (Bell and Granisle) operated by Noranda Mines. The surrounding 288 k 2 porphyry copper district, now covered by Aarc inerals clais, hosts ultiple additional porphyry copper exploration targets. The six new drill holes (DK8003 through DK8008) copleted at DUKE were designed to begin delineating the geoetry and grade distribution of extensive porphyry copper-style ineralization discovered by two holes (DK00 and DK002) copleted by Aarc in late 20 (see Deceber 9, 20 news release). Seven of the eight holes drilled have successfully outlined porphyry copper-style ineralization over an area currently easuring approxiately 400 north-south by 00 east-west, and open to expansion in all directions. The deposit lies below flat-lying glacial till, which varies fro 4 to 8 thick in the holes drilled, with ineralization extending to the depth of drilling over 30 deep. Mineralization is ainly hosted by biotite-feldspar-porphyry intrusions into volcanic rocks. These rock types also host the Bell, Morrison and Granisle porphyry copper deposits in the region. A single hole (DK8004) was drilled one k north of all other Aarc holes at DUKE in order to test the geophysical induced polarization anoaly ( IP ) that extends north and south fro the DUKE deposit discovery area. This hole intersected substantial lengths of oderate to low grade copper and olybdenu ineralization, indicating the extensive nature of the DUKE porphyry copper syste. The IP anoaly associated with the DUKE discovery easures soe 4 k north-south by k east-west. Assay results fro the eight holes drilled by Aarc on the DUKE project are tabulated below. Drill-hole plans and cross sections presented with this news release are available on the Copany s website at http://www.aarcresources.co/ahr/mapsfigures.asp. The results indicate that Aarc has discovered another iportant, near surface, porphyry copper-olybdenu-silver-gold deposit. Dr. Diane Nicolson, President and Director of Aarc said: the successful results fro Aarc s core drilling progras at DUKE clearly indicate the presence of an iportant new BC porphyry copper-olybdenu-silver-gold deposit, with copper equivalent grades coparable to those currently being ined and processed at operating ines in British Colubia. Over the next few onths, the Copany will consider how best to undertake the extensive further drilling required to delineate the geoetry and grade distribution of this proising discovery.

In addition to reporting the successful drilling at DUKE, the Copany is also pleased to update plans for its 208 exploration progras, which will coence soon at the IKE and JOY projects. Work at the IKE discovery located 33 k northwest of the historical ining counity of Gold Bridge, has now delineated a copper-olybdenu-silver ineralized syste easuring at least 3.5 k by 2 k through cobined geophysical surveys, talus geocheical sapling and the earlier drilling of 2 core holes within a portion of the
-3- ineralized syste. This porphyry copper syste has the geological eararks of an iportant copperolybdenu-silver producer like Morenci and Sierrita in Arizona, and Valley in BC. This year, the exploration focus at IKE will be wide-spaced drilling within the very extensive IKE ineralized syste in order to start delineating its overall geoetry and copper-olybdenu-silver grade distribution. Hudbay Minerals Inc. ( Hudbay ) is funding the IKE work progras budgeted at $. illion. Drilling is planned to coence in July. Aarc s JOY Project lies 30 k north of Mackenzie in a region of BC with high potential for the discovery of iportant scale, porphyry gold-copper deposits. The JOY clais are located 20 k north of the Keess District, host to the forer Keess South Mine and the governent-approved Keess underground project. Recently, Centerra Gold Inc. purchased the Keess District fro AuRico Metals Inc. for $30 illion. Aarc considers the extensive JOY project clai holdings to be significantly underexplored, and to represent the northern extension of the Keess gold-copper district. Highly favourable geology, geocheical sapling and geophysical surveys, along with drilling in 3 holes by past operators, has resulted in substantially concentrating the exploration focus. Aarc has identified a new 20 k long northeast trending structural corridor at JOY, the Finlay Magnetic Corridor, which hosts ore than 0 copelling gold-copper porphyry deposit targets. For 208, systeatic IP, geocheical and geological surveys are planned over these iportant scale gold-copper deposit targets, with soe drilling expected in the fall to begin testing sulphide systes delineated by the surveys. Hudbay is funding JOY work progras budgeted at $2 illion in 208. Field progras are planned to coence during late June. About Aarc Resources Ltd. Quality Control/Quality Assurance Progra All drill core was logged, photographed and cut in half with a diaond saw. Half core saples fro DUKE were sent to MS Analytical, Langley, Canada facility (025 accredited), for preparation and analyses. Drill core saples were analyzed for Cu, Mo, Au, Ag and 35 additional eleents by Aqua Regia digestion of a 0.5 g saple followed by an ICP-AES/MS finish. Au was also analyzed by fire assay fusion of a 30 g saple followed by AAS finish. As part of a coprehensive Quality Assurance Quality Control ( QAQC ) progra, Aarc control saples were inserted in each analytical batch at the following rates: standards one in 20 regular saples, in-line replicates one in 20 regular saples and blanks one in regular saples. The control saple results were then checked to ensure proper QAQC.
