Data structures, database design, GIS data creation, global positioning systems (GPS), and spatial analysis techniques are emphasized. Course Prerequisite: An introductory course in elementary computing such as PLS 21 is recommended (though not required) and an introductory course in statistics such as STA 13 is recommended (though not required).
