Good Used Book By Minnie Mouse I bought this book for my 10 year old daughter. She had checked it out in her school library but was unable to find it any where else. She was mad that she had to turn it back in before she got the chance to read it all. After trying to find it to buy brand new, I gave up and bought it used. Things that go bump in the night By Aletheia Knights Who doesn't enjoy a good shiver once in a while? Is anyone such a hardcore skeptic that he or she doesn't enjoy just entertaining the idea, every once in a while, that there might be more to this existence of ours than science can readily, or ever, explain? Every delicious chapter of "The Haunted States of America" draws the reader into a creepy world of apparitions and strange phenomena that may (or may not) exist among us, in places we can easily pinpoint on the map, or maybe even visit. With the shivers and thrills densely packed into an average of two or three pages per chapter, even reluctant readers may find themselves up past their bedtimes, unable to resist the temptation to read just a little bit more. The engaging style and the variety among different kinds of stories make this book well worth reading, but I would have enjoyed a few more pictures. While the wide scope of the book will appeal to casual readers just looking to enjoy a scary story, those with a more serious interest in history, folklore, or parapsychology may prefer to seek out a work of less breadth and deeper focus.
