I am working on microwave generated non-thermal plasma for various applications like surface treatment and biomedical applications. The project is basically experimental but currently I am developing a Monte Carlo simulation code for optimizing the plasma source. The describes the evolution of the energy distribution function (EDF) of plasma particles. Based on these EDF data, the source will be optimized using pulsed microwaves that can suitably be applied for different applications. Finally, a portable and miniaturized non-thermal plasma source will be designed as per application requirements..
