Extended scope for the organization of proficiency tests in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17043 VSL, the Dutch Metrology Institute, has significantly extended the scope for their accreditation with registration number R006, the organisation of proficiency tests in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17043. VSL has more than 30 years of experience in interlaboratory comparisons. We organize interlaboratory comparisons and proficiency testing (PT) schemes in many different fields, from pressure, mass and viscosity to chemical analysis, and from temperature and humidity to electricity, length and gas flow. As from September 25 th, 2013, the relevant accreditation scope includes all of our calibration capabilities across all technological fields which are listed in our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration scope with registration number K999. This means that VSL is now accredited by the Dutch Accreditation Council (RvA) to organize proficiency testing schemes for almost any field. Furthermore VSL can also offer customised service at an unprecedented level. With this new extended scope we have optimized our capabilities to assist (calibration) laboratories to improve and maintain the quality of their services.
