GOMTRY Similar Triangles SIMILR TRINGLS N THIR PROPRTIS efinition Two triangles are said to be similar if: (i) Their corresponding angles are equal, and (ii) Their corresponding sides are proportional. It follows from this definition that two triangles and F are similar if: (i) =, =, = F, and (ii). In fact, if either of two conditions holds, then the other holds automatically. So, any one of the two conditions can be used to define similar triangles.
