July. 1992 June. 1999 Department of Chemistry, Funded by DARPA, develop advanced laser spectroscopy techniques for environmental pollutant/chemical detection and monitoring. With the result of 6 publications in International Journals and 6 conference papers. US Patent office issued a patent for the laser system that we developed. Three local companies have applied our research to their research and products for environmental monitoring and detection. I just filed another final patent in January, 2000. Instructed 50 students in 3 quarters.
