Targeted screening and quantitative analysis with the Q-Exactive Focus The training will provide users guidance on the set up and optimization of the Q Exactive Focus Hybrid Quadrupole-Orbitrap Mass Spectrometer for routine screening and quantitative analysis of pesticide and mycotoxins residues. Setting of the system parameters for either ddms2 or vdia operation and data evaluation using TraceFinder software will be presented with a strong focus on hands-on experience. Accelerated Solvent Extraction Theory and Practical implementation Sample preparation is perhaps the most important and often overlooked part of chemical analysis. Even the best analytical techniques cannot rectify problems generated by sloppy sample pre-treatment. The goal of the workshop is to familiarize you with the principles and operation of the automated Thermo Scientific Dionex ASE 350 Accelerated Solvent Extractor, its optimization, operation and maintenance. Various approaches to extraction and in-line cleanup techniques will be discussed with practical instructions for using the ASE 350 and the Thermo Scientific Rocket Evaporator System. Course length : 2 days. 4

Mycotoxin analysis method setup by LC-MS/MS The training is focused on in depth understanding of current mycotoxins legislation, validation requirements and principles of mycotoxins analysis. Sample extraction, clean-up and determination using LC-MS/MS with the TSQ Quantis Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer and the TSQ Altis Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer, and data evaluation using the TraceFinder software platform will be demonstrated with a strong focus on hands-on experience.. TurboFlow online sample preparation in food analysis This training is focused on practical demonstration of method development and practical use of Thermo Scientific TurboFlow online sample preparation technology and the Thermo Scientific Transcend TLX-1 system. System setup, operation, practical hints on method development and software training will be addressed during the course. 5

Setting up and optimization of the EQuan system for online sample pre-concentration EQuan system offers unmatched capabilities of integrated online sample pre-concentration and analysis coupled with LC-MS/MS or HRAM MS systems. During the training it will be demonstrated how to setup the system, perform method optimization for maximum sensitivity and tips and tricks for routine application. Neurochemistry in LC with Electrochemical Amperometric and Coulometric detection The purpose of the training is to familiarize users with basic as well advanced features of special LC detectors such as the Thermo Scientific Ultimate 3000 Electrochemical Detector (ECD). The training will consist of both theoretical and practical instruction, operation and troubleshooting of these LC detectors as well as an overview of the key biochemical applications of the instruments mainly in the field of neurochemistry.
