5. Different Views of Christians VIEW #1 - It s s focus is fear, ghosts and demons, and therefore it is clearly satanic, demonic, entirely of pagan origin and so doing anything related with Halloween is evil. VIEW #2 - Costumes and asking for candy is harmless, so is carving fun designs in pumpkins. Harvest Fest and other Autumn get-together together alternatives as well as handing out Bible tracts with candy is actually good.

I Corinthians 6:12 "All things are lawful for me," but not all things are helpful. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be enslaved by anything. I Corinthians 10:23 All things are lawful," but not all things are helpful. "All things are lawful, but not all things build up.

I Corinthians 10:18-22 Consider the people of Israel: are not those who eat the sacrifices participants in the altar? What do I imply then? That food offered to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything? No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons. Shall we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he? I Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from every form of evil.

Romans 14:13-19 Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother. I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself, but it is unclean for anyone who thinks it unclean. For if your brother is grieved by what you eat, you are no longer walking in love. By what you eat, do not destroy the one for whom Christ died. So do not let what you regard as good be spoken of as evil. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Whoever thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.

5. Different Views of Christians SUMMARY OF BIBLICAL TEACHING: 1. Even though there isn t t a state law or biblical command against something, it could still be wrong. 2. We shouldn t t judge what other believers do. We also shouldn t t let our own convictions or even liberties cause division in the body of Christ, or offend unbelievers that we could be reaching out to. 3. However, we certainly shouldn t t promote the works and schemes of Satan, nor should we use our freedom in Christ to cause other Christians s to stumble in their faith. 4. We should keep away from every form/appearance of evil. We shouldns houldn t participate in activities that Satan and his demons are involved in, so as not to support him/them. 5. We are to do all things with a motive to please the Lord, and build up the Body of Christ. (I( I Cor. 10:31)
