Swirl Diffusers can improve the function of air conditioning and ventilating installations Application Diffusers with swirl characteristics are often used for a direct ventilation of occupied zones in commercial and industrial facilities which require high air exchange rates e.g. restaurants, shopping centers, laboratories, offices, meeting rooms. New swirl diffuser forms of the type DLA with adjustable air distributing components offer an attractive, modern design and flexibility in terms of air flow pattern. As DLA diffusers are easily adjustable the patterns can be set to suit varying room conditions, even after installation. The highly inductive, fanned rotational flow makes it possible to handle high cooling loads and still maintain comfortable air conditions. This effect is created by flow from many individual air jets which make the diffuser suitable for small or large volume flows and variable volume systems. The recommended installation height is.5... 5 meters. above: type DLA 7 below: type DLA 8 Example for the installation of a swirl diffuser type DLA 7 E LTG Incorporated PO Box 889 Spartanburg, SC 9/USA 86/599-63 Fax 86/599-63 DLA7/DLA8 -USA -TP (1/0) e -mail: info@ltg -Inc.net Internet: www.ltg -Inc.net Former editions are invalid. Swirl Diffusers Type DLA 7 Function The LTG Swirl Diffuser type DLA 7 is a highly inductive diffuser which may either be integrated in the ceiling or free suspended, thus offering a wide variety of possibilities and presentation. Advantages Design / Appearance - The diffuser plate is available either powder coated, to RAL reference, or chromium plated. The swirl disc is available in black or white. - All metal construction. Economy / Flexibility - Fast installation as pattern can be factory-set but subsequently modified to suit new room conditions. Comfort - Good comfort in the occupied zone is ensured by rapid decay of velocity and temperature difference of the supply jet. - Direct, efficient, ventilation of occupied zones. Range of products Model sizes: (diffuser plate nominal size) square: 0, 0, 600, 6, 800 mm round: 0, 0, 600, 6, 800 mm Air distribution plenum box galvanized sheet steel Versions: pyramid box rectangular box cylindrical box - with adjustable flow restrictor inside the spigot*, adjustment from below through the diffuser plate. * not possible with the rectangular spigot connection option. Duct connection Side or top entry (the round spigot must be bayonet installed by the customer). For small box heights a side entry rectangular connection is available. Diffuser plate Steel galvanized, visible side powder coated to RAL reference or chromium plated. Diffusing components Steel galvanized, painted in black or white Flow types The swirl disc can be set for two flow types : the tangential flow 1 and, or vertical flow. Tangential flow 1- standard setting - the air jets will attach strongly to the ceiling resulting in a fully mixed turbulent flow structure in the room, with rapid temperature and velocity decay of the jet. tangential setting 1 and vertical setting swirl disc diffuser plate swirl disc diffuser plate Tangential setting, prefered for lower volume flow rates and large cooling differentials. The outlet cross-section is reduced, thus diffusing the air with increased momentum, ensuring that the jet remains powerfully attached to the ceiling. As a result, induction effect is increased. Vertical setting, prefered setting during heating operation. In the case of the vertical flow, the air is projected conocally downwards. Flow development with: tangential setting vertical setting E LTG Incorporated PO Box 889 Spartanburg, SC 9/USA 86/599-63 Fax 86/599-63 DLA7/DLA8 -USA -TP (1/0) e -mail: info@ltg -Inc.net Internet: www.ltg -Inc.net Former editions are invalid.
