HOLIDAY HOMEWORK CLASS 5 SCIENCE Take three earthen pots and put some soil in each of them. Take a small onion, a small potato with an eye and a piece of rose stem. Cover the onion and the potato with soil in two separate pots. Insert the rose stem half in the soil kept in the third pot. Water the pots everyday or on alternate days, depending on the weather. Observe for ten days. Which pot has new plant grown first? Select ten people in your family or neighborhood. Note the pulse rate before some exercise and after some exercise or activity. Make a Chart and Note the effect of exercise on the pulse rate. SOCIAL STUDIES 1. Find out from your parents / grandparents or identify any one historical monument in your surroundings.
