Third International Congress on Geology, Resources and Geo-hazards of Myanmar and Surrounding Regions 31 st January, 1 st & 2 nd, February, 2018, Sedona Hotel, Yangon, Myanmar INTRODUCTION The Myanmar Geosciences Society is organizing an International Congress, the third international Congress on Geology,Resources and Geohazards of Myanmar (GEOMYANMAR 2018), from 31 st January to 2 nd February, 2018. The GEOMYANMAR Congress first held in 2012 was a premier geosciences event in the region and has been well attended by the Geosciences Community of the region. In addition to countries in Southeast Asia, GEOMYANMAR 2018 is intended to expand participation from geosciences communities worldwide to open a new chapter of Collaboration among international geological institutions. In this regard, the Myanmar Geosciences Society cordially invites all of you to participate in this event. HIGH LIGHT OF THE CONFERENCE Presentation and panel discussion themes will be focused on: 1. New Research data on Myanmar Geology after four years of cooperation with Chinese Academy of Sciences 2. Myanmar Geoscientists Research data 3. Others Researchers data on Geology of Myanmar 4. SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME The scientific program of GEOMYANMAR 2018 consists of 5 keynote papers and oral presentations on geosciences and related aspects of the Myanmar and surrounding regions. Participants are invited to present papers on original research related. Authors are required to submit an extended abstract (about 500 words) together with registration fees. (Deadline 31 st December, 2017) REGISTRATION FEES All intending participants are advised to register early to facilitate planning of the Congress (Registration form downloaded here (http://myanmargeosciences.org/images/pdf/geomyanmar-2018-registration-form-1.pdf ). Registration fees will cover Congress materials, refreshment and lunch. Participants: USD 300 (exclusive of banking charges).
