These are big times and everything has long term consequences. Venus, the Goddess of blessings, says that making changes is the right thing to do, but allow yourself to be held back a little. Caution makes you careful. Any fear needs to be faced before you move forward. Taurus 20 April 20 May They say that money is the root of all evil. Not so, for it is only the misuse of money, or ignoring money, that leads to trouble. You need to get on get on top of all money issues. Can you do it better? Yes you can.by asking questions as there are choices, and savings, to be had by negotiating and bargaining. Gemini 21 May 20 June You say yes, they say no. You say no, they say yes. It will take the naturally calmest of you to manage this without drama, but being calm can be a choice. Otherwise you waste a whole lot of hot air and energy. Ancient Moon Gardening Gazing out the window I can see the veggie patch and this month I am nibbling the tasty tips of broad beans, but there it not much else left to eat. A busy time late summer doing heaps of things other than gardening meant winter harvests are going to be limited. darn. there are times I wish there was 48 hours in each day! It has meant that I have the opportunity to make structural changes which involve hammering, and will lead to permanent netting; thus crossing one more thing off my wish list. Yippeee! Watching nature and plants grow is a metaphor for life and this month I learnt from a Hardenbergia, a native climber, that would not be limited and found its way into unexpected places, that we too can stretch into unexpected corners when we encounter limitations. Sometimes its only when we encounter those limitations that we learn to stretch and find another place to shine. There are shifts in feelings and energy levels at all New and Full Moons, when planets move into signs, or when there are connections (aspects) between planets, or when they turn retrograde or move direct again. Pay attention to the days when these shifts happen and notice your feelings and energy levels. This understanding will enhance your experience of life.
To further experience the rhythm of the Moon I suggest that you aim to start new projects and events at the New Moon, and bring them to full development approximately two weeks later at the Full Moon. From the Full Moon back to the New Moon is a time to look at the consequences, to reflect on what you achieved and to think about changes or new ideas that you will birth again at the New Moon. Enjoy the ride! What s that Star in the sky this June? To be amazed by the heavens, first get your bearings and note that North is the warmest side of the house. Face north and on your right is the east where the Sun rises, and on your left is west where the sun sets. Behind you is south. The brightest night is with the Full Moon on the 9th June and the darkest night is on the New Moon on the 24th June. For all you Night Owls We will only see Mars for a few days as is getting closer and closer to the Sun and we will soon lose him to the Sun s glare. Till then, look to the west after sunset to see his reddish war-like light. No wonder he is called the Warrior god. Jupiter is high in the heavens and will be close to the Moon on the 4th June. Saturn is rising in the east and the Moon will join him on the 10th June. The Scorpion is rising from the east and will be high in the heavens by midnight with the gentle Moon resting in his claws on the 8th June. Turn around and look south to see the beautiful Southern Cross right side up and very high. For all you Early Birds Glorious Venus is rising before the Sun as the Morning Star and the Moon will join her on the 21st June. Saturn is in the west and the Moon will guide you to him on 10th June. The Scorpion is setting in the west as the sun rises in the east. As we rise, the Scorpion sleeps. Turn south to see the Southern Cross upside down and very low and may be easily obscured by hills, lights, trees or buildings. Let yourself be awed! Winter Solstice 21 st June Solstice actually means to standstill and that s what the Sun does! It stands still! On the Solstice, the Sun reaches the lowest point and for a few days seems to stay at the same low level in the sky. After this it starts to appear a little higher in the sky each day. The ancients marked this day as the entry of the Sun into the sign of Cancer and it marks the beginning of natural Winter. While it is the Winter Solstice here in the southern hemisphere, it is the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. The winter solstice marks the shortest day, but it s not the coldest. That will come over the next couple of months as the land and oceans continue to cool down, affecting the air temperature. We will just have to wait for a while till it warms up, but at least the days will lengthen! Thank You to those that keep me healthy!
