6 weather seals AND CE-certification C e r t i f i e d w e a t h e r s e a l s i n t e r m s o f C E - c e r t i f i c a t i o n S a m p l e : SP Sample for documentation and certification by string of digits: W 36243 Application W Weather seal Regarding DIN EN 1431-1 weather seals are classified as building components. Weather seals strongly influence the following technical properties of windows and doors: - Air permeability - Water tightness - Closing forces - Durability and long range performance Working range 3 Class 3, for 2 mm to 4 mm, working range = 3 mm Linear closing force 6 Between 200 und 00 N/m, (in future values must be documented) Working temperature 2 Class 2 = - 10 C to + C Resilience 4 Between 60 % and 70 % related to the working range Long term resilience 3 Material test on a hose 1 mm by 3 mm, stored at highest working temperature for 3 weeks time. The European standard (DIN EN 36 1 4) deals with specification and classification of weather seals. Manufacturers of seals are obliged to fulfil these requirements and document the tested properties in form of a numerical code (e.g. sample SP ). As one of the first manufacturers of weather seals we are certified by the ift Rosenheim and therefore allowed to supply our costumers with approved classification documentation after EN 36 1 4. The CE-certification does not necessarily cover all performance requirements of weather seals therefore we provide to our costumer additional test certificates.
