Make sure you try the Orkney s t re a ky b a c o n, i t s t h e i r s p e c i a l i t y. 1.00pm After exploring some of the boutique shops on Bermondsey Street stroll to Borough Market where you can pick up some local food from the many market stalls or fresh coffee at the famous Monmouth Coffee Shop. 5.00pm Just a few minutes further down the river is the diverse Southbank full of everything from street performers, exhibitions and independent shops, as well as temporary art installations and pop up restaurants. Be sure to check out the Southbank Centre and National Theatre, which regularly present art events. 7.30pm Before dinner make sure you check out what s on at The Old Vic, its world famous productions are not to be missed, with performances drawing some of the finest acting talent the world has to offer to the stage. 11.30am Just down the road is The hite Cube, a contemporary art gallery that has previously exhibited work ranging from Antony Gormley to Damien Hirst. The gallery often hosts artists films, feature films and lectures so why not pop in and see what is going on. 2.30pm Head towards the river to the popular Ta t e M o d e r n g a l l e r y, o r c h e c k t o s e e i f y o u c a n get tickets for a Shakespeare play at The Globe Theatre. 6. 3 0 p m To g e t a w a y f r o m t h e h u s t l e a n d b u s t l e, Lower Marsh Market is a short walk away through the beautiful Jubilee Gardens.
