FACS Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS) is a federation of 28 national chemical societies from countries in the Asia Pacific region 1978: : UNESCO proposes the creation of the Federation of Asian Chemical Societies to Countries in the Asian Region FACS was inaugurated on August 16, 1979 in Bangkok with Prof Kamchorn Manuapichu of Thailand as the First President. 11 Founding Members from Australia, Hong Kong, Korea, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka & Thailand

Asian Network on Renewable Energy FACS will soon establish a new Asian network on renewable energy.. We are expecting to finalise the formation of this network at our next 15 th General Assembly, together organising a symposium on recent advances in solar cell, organic photovoltaics and biofuel at the 13 th ACC, Shanghai, 2009.
