Grade 4 Here are some hints to help you when you take the ISTEP+. Use these hints as you try to answer the questions on the. Take your time and read each problem carefully. Think about how you might solve the problem before you try to choose an answer. If you are not sure how to answer a question, skip it. Answer the questions that are easier for you first. Then go back and work on the harder questions you skipped. Circle each letter choice clearly. Watch for questions that do not have letters. Make sure you read carefully to see what response is required. Don t worry if there are some questions that are too hard for you. Take your time and think about them carefully. After you have answered a question, go back and reread the problem. Make sure the answer you chose makes sense. Almost everyone gets a little nervous when taking a test. Do not worry. The most important thing is to do your best. This test contains 42 questions. It should take you about 80 minutes to answer all the questions. Grade 4 27
