How the Golden Gate Analyzer Works
Reagent/Sample Aspiration The probe senses the reagent level. The dilutor aspirates the volume of the reagent established in the method. The heater thermostatizes it at 37 C. The probe senses the liquid level, allowing the use of primary tubes or tubes for pediatric samples. The dilutor aspirates the volume of sample selected previously.
Sample and Reagent Dispensing The dilutor dispenses sample and reagent simultaneously, inside the reaction cuvette. Photometric Reading After the time indicated in the method, the instrument reads the concentration of the reaction.
Photometric Analyzing A well calibrated photometer is used to calculate the density of particles inside the reaction cuvette. Photometric Graph An accurate calculation is made based off Lambert-Beers Law to determine the concentration of a specific element inside the light beam. The software preforms the calculations making analysis of the results quick and easy for the user. 1. Lamp 5. Beam Splitter 2. Plane-Convex Lens 6. Sample Cuvette 3. Stopper 7. Sample Photosensor 4. Washing and Drying of Reaction Cuvettes The washer does an effective washing and drying of the cuvettes, leaving them ready for new reactions.
Easy & Intuitive Software You can load new samples, stats, calibrators and controls at any time in process. Unlimited number of methods in memory. Calibration curves with unlimited number of calibrators. Automatic sample re-dilution. Stats input. Statistics for controls, calibrators and samples. Levy Jennings graphics. Import/export data. Data file of samples, controls and calibrators.
Testing & Reagents The Golden Gate Analyzer can perform up to 360 tests/hour. -Screens usually have 10-15 test run on them. -This averages about 24 patients per hour The average Reagent Kit contains 100,000 µl. The average drug screen will use 250 µl of reagent. Each kit will yield approx 500 tests. Reagent or GAS is expensive. The Golden Gate analyzer uses very little reagent per test & Castle offers great reagent pricing.
Why Castle? Personalized troubleshooting and tech support with Drawbridge Medical and Castle Medical Personnel for all clinics with analyzers deployed. Unique leasing options, clinics only pay for the GAS. Continuous method development is undertaken, maximizing what we can offer clinics in the field. It will be extremely hard to find a comparable analyzer for a better price.

Candidates for Analyzer Program Must have a direct contact that can respond to all issues (compliance or other) in a timely manner. Needs to have a separate HIPPA / CLIA compliantroom for a laboratory that will contain a fridge, analyzer, computer, and working space for staff. Must be able to maintain minimum compliance for all regulatory guidelines set forth by FDA, CLIA, and other governing health care agencies specific to site of deployment.
