Chart Tile & Metadata Service Application developers have been creating tiles from BSB files and offering them to boaters for years. This derived product is updated at different intervals and doesn t always reflect the most up to date chart data. NOAA will provide up to date geo-referenced tiles both online and offline versions. Establish product standardization. Save application developers costs related to creating tiles for use in their applications.
ActiveCaptain Crowdsourced Hazards Developed a Memorandum of Agreement to obtain the Crowdsourced Hazards database Use the information to evaluation chart accuracy Confirm chart data and make updates as necessary
Summary The Next Generation of Geospatial Products & Services Faster Processing Access to near Real-time Updates Ability to Support Multiple Maritime Customers
