INTRODUCTION Line cutting and geological mapping was conducted between June 24 and August, 997 on claims LI 36335 to LI 36346 and claim LI 3635. LOCATION AND ACCESS The work was conducted on Lots l, 2 and 3, Concession II and III of Holmes Township accessible from Highway 66 via old logging roads and ATV trails (Figure ). CLAIMS The work was done on claims LI 36335 to LI 36346 and claim LI 3635 all within the Larder Lake mining division (Figure 2). The claims are part of a larger group of claims and patented lots known as the Holmes/Flavelle property - Abel Lake and Cunningham Options. PREVIOUS WORK The only work previously done on these claims was reconnaissance geological mapping performed by Pamorex Minerals Inc. in 99. WORK COMPLETED 27.5 km of grid lines were cut using chain saws and axes by Natives Exploration Services of Ouje-Bougoumou, Quebec. The base lines and tie lines were surveyed using a transit except on claim LI 3635. The cross lines were cut on a m spacing and picketed every 25 m. Geological mapping was conducted by the author and a field assistant. Three samples were taken for whole rock and trace element analysis.

Figure LOCATION MAP l inch equals approximately 32 miles

EXPENDITURES Total expenditures for line cutting, geological field mapping and sample analysis are 52,352.5 as detailed in Table. TABLE l EXPENDITURES Line Cutting Geology Room and Board Transportation Assaying + Geochemistry Total 59,38.,9. 8. 4. 4.5 32.352.5 RESULTS The geology and sample map is located in the back pocket. The sample descriptions and gold values are shown in Table 2. Assay certificates are presented in Appendix. 95'J'o of the claim area is covered by overburden. Only three areas have bedrock exposure with two of the areas being sampled for whole rock and trace element geochemistry. TABLE 2 SAMPLE DESCRIPTIONS Sample No. Grid Location Description J694 J695 J696 L32+4E, 2+8N L32+5E, 2+75N L32+4E, 4+OON Pink-orange, medium to coarse-grained hornblende-rich monzonite. Pink-orange, fine-grained monzonite dyke. Trace chalcopyrite. White medium-coarse grained diorite to monzodiorite.

Geology The northwest corner of the large claim area is underlain by pink to orange, medium to coarse-grained hornblende rich massive monzonite of the Holmes Stock. The monzonite is in turn intruded by fine-grained syenite/monzonite dykes. Trace chalcopyrite was found within one of these dykes. Gold values were low for both rocks. The southwest corner of the large claim block is underlain by white, medium to coarse- grained, massive diorite to monzodiorite. No visible sulphides were present and Au values were low. The third area of outcrop is in the southeast corner of the claim block. This area is underlain by greywacke and arkosic Cobalt sediments. No samples were taken of the sediments. Vegetation and Topography The entire area has very little relief and is covered mostly by spruce and tamarack muskeg/swamp and vast sand plains. The sand plain has been previously harvested and transplanted with jack pine. The dominant tree species is spruce with localized areas of poplar, jack pine, tamarack and birch. The dominant topographical feature on the claims is Middleton Creek and its tributaries which meander through the claims. SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS Due to the extent of the overburden cover the possibility that the Kirkland Lake-Larder Lake Break and/or splays pass through the claims should be addressed. A MAG/VLF survey has just recently been finished. Respectfully submitted, TECK EXPLORATION LTD. Randy Stewart REP-23 5/ec September 8, 997
