The notes wi describe a topic that I did not have time to incude in the ecture: the reation between the traceess symmetric tensor expansion and the standard spherica harmonics. The important point here is that if we want to match the conventions of the spherica harmonics, we need to construct traceess symmetric tensors that are modified by a rotation ony by a mutipicative phase factor. That is, we are ooking for tensors that are compex, and that are eigenvectors of the rotation operator.
