One-Minute Increments Minute marks are the small marks going around the clock. It takes seconds for the minute hand to move from one minute to the next. The minute marks represent one minute each. Calculating Elapsed Time To find elapsed time, or how much time has passed, first think about how many hours have passed. Then think about how many minutes have passed.
