How is g related to f? A. g(x) = 2f(x) 1 B. g(x) = 1 2 f(x) + 1 C. g(x) = 2f(x 1) D. g(x) = 2f(x + 1) E. g(x) = 1 f(x + 1) 2 3

3. Find the inverse of the function f(x) = ln(e x 3). A. f 1 (x) = x + ln 3 B. f 1 (x) = ln(e x + 3) C. f 1 (x) = x + 3 D. f 1 (x) = ln(x + 3) E. f 1 (x) = xe 3 4. If the height (in feet) of a ball is given by s(t) = 16t 2 + 10t + 2 where t is given in seconds, then the average velocity during the time interval A. 2 feet/sec B. 6 feet/sec 3 C. 2 feet/sec D. 10 feet/sec 1 E. 2 feet/sec [ 0, 1 ] is 2 4

5. Suppose f(x) = x + 2 4 x 2. Then A. lim f(x) = and lim f(x) = 1 x 2 x 2 4. B. lim x 2 f(x) = 1 4 and lim f(x) =. x 2 C. lim f(x) = and lim f(x) does not exist. x 2 x 2 D. lim f(x) = and lim f(x) does not exist. x 2 x 2 E. lim f(x) = and lim f(x) = 1 x 2 x 2 4. 6.
