INVITATION We are honoured to invite you cordially to Bucharest, one of the centres of the Romanian Palaeontology, to attend the Eleventh Romanian Symposium of Palaeontology to be held between the 25 th and 30 th of September, 2017. In 2017 the Department of Geology of the University of Bucharest will host the Romanian Symposium of Palaeontology meeting for the fourth time, 20 years after the First Romanian Symposium of Palaeontology organized by the Department of Geology and Palaeontology of the University of Bucharest in 1997. These biennial meetings of the SPR (Societatea Paleontologilor din România - The Romanian Society of Palaeontologists) are aimed to promote the collaboration between scientists working in the wider field of Palaeontology as well as in related research areas represented by Stratigraphy, Sedimentology, Palaeobiogeography, Palaeoecology, Basin Analysis, Geoheritage and Geoconservation. The SPR meetings represent excellent opportunities for scientists working in these fields to share their research experience and share results, to discuss different topics of interest, and to initiate collaborative projects. During the years, the biennial meetings of the SPR became International Meetings, with participants from all over Europe but also from other continents. See you then in Bucharest!
