DEFINITION OF BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT What is BPM about? 3 Metasonic AG 2012 METASONIC Dynamic, Intelligent, Social BPMS November 2012

DEFINITION OF BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT Each Process has an Objective! BPM supports the Achievement of the Objective with highest Efficiency and Effectiveness possible! Therefore BPM has to support process participants and process owners with Current information (KPIs) about process execution Support for decision making Enabling of continuous improvement Support for creation and chance of BP Applications 4 Metasonic AG 2012 METASONIC Dynamic, Intelligent, Social BPMS November 2012

THE BASIC IDEAs BEHIND S-BPM 1. Distribution of complex logic in small asynchronous working parts 2. Communication is the most important part of organizations Dr. A. Fleischmann Founder 3. Concept of Natural Language 4. BPM is not about creating drawings, it s about software 17 Metasonic AG 2012 METASONIC Dynamic, Intelligent, Social BPMS November 2012

S-BPM PROCESS DEFINITION A Subject is define by a set of tasks/activites executed in a precisely defined way by a precisely defined team of people in an organization. Different Subjects are coordinated by communication (exchanging messages). This is BPM with reduced complexity, embedded compliance and easy to execute and easy to change! A process is only exactly and entirely described, if the behaviors (Subjects) of all involved participants and the entire communication between the involved participants are described in details. 18 Metasonic AG 2012 METASONIC Dynamic, Intelligent, Social BPMS November 2012

NIS PRESIDENT S VIDEO STATEMENT ABOUT METASONIC NIS has more than 2000 system engineers. When they saw Metasonic, they have been very surprised and excited. Mainly their job is to maintain IT system changes in NEC group. They are speeding up now doing a lot more changes in shorter time with S-BPM. Metasonic Suite is an excellent KAIZEN enabling tool. NIS uses this tool during system development and change projects. KAIZEN is working not only at TOYOTA also many Japanese companies including NIS are using it. KAIZEN (continuous improvement) is a part of Japanese culture and history. NIS is going to distribute S-BPM in whole NEC Group not only to system engineers in NIS. Main users of Metasonic Suite will be much more business people in the future. NIS thinks that integration of Cloud Service into business processes will be needed in the future and can be done easily with Metasonic Suite. We do BPM Applications in 1 day with a very much reduce involvement from IT staff using Metasonic Suite! 45 Metasonic AG 2012 METASONIC Dynamic, Intelligent, Social BPMS November 2012
