Add dispersion (e.g. Lax & Levermore 1983): ū t + ū ū x + g h x = τ ū xxx. Leads to spurious oscillations. Not always sufficient for regularisation. Add diffusion + dispersion (e.g. Hayes & LeFloch 2000): Regularises but does not conserve energy and provides spurious oscillations.
