Polynesian Lagoon Water Mineral Waters The benefits of marine waters have been widely studied and proven. Men use them since antiquity, and this tradition continues today through thalassotherapy and spa trend becoming increasingly popular... MANUFACTURING PROCESS is pumped in the heart of the lagoon, near the coral reef, at a minimum depth of 10 meters, in order to preserve its quality, its richness and its purity. Then the water is immediately treated by tangential filtration sterilization at high temperature, and enriched with a preservative to guarantee its freshness. PROPERTIES 1. REMINERALIZING 2. Polynesian Lagoon Water Polynesian REMINERALIZING VOLCANIC WATER... For most of us, Polynesia is a paradisiac place, symbol of wellbeing, which combines nature with brilliant color, white sand beaches, so fine that it flows between the fingers, and turquoise waters housing a water world as rich in color. Formed millions of years ago, thanks to the emergence of volcanoes, Polynesia consists of five archipelagos (Society, Austral, Tuamotu, Gambier and Marquesas islands). The lagoon water originates in the heart of discontinuous strips of sand (atoll), surrounded by a reef barrier. According to a concept of IRD (Institute of Research for Development), this resource, naturally rich in minerals and trace elements is continuously regenerated through «endo-upwelling» movement, a natural phenomenon occuring mainly along the coast that bords the great oceans. The beneficial effects of marine waters have been widely studied and proven. The men used them since antiquity, and this tradition continues today through the spa that becomes more and more popular... Polynesian Polynesian Lagoon Water OTHER NAMES Volcanic water GEOLOGY The volcanic islands are formed after the eruption of a volcano. The island is then formed by slow ascent to the surface of erupted material (basalt, lava and ash). Once emerged, the cone of the volcano goes out, cools and then starts its process of erosion. By the end of volcanic activity, the coral begins its process of colonization along the coast, attracted by the environmental conditions suitable for its development: hot water loaded with many trace elements of any kind (magnesium, potassium, sulfur, silicon, etc.). The coral will grow to surround the island and will form a natural barrier. Over time, and subject to the natural process of erosion caused by the ocean movements, the island eventually sink gradually into the sea, resulting in an increase in coral reefs height, which cannot survive in shallow tropical waters loaded with trace elements and in very strict conditions, temperature and oxygenation. Thus the famous coral reefs are formed surrounding the beautiful Polynesian lagoons. THE ENDO-UPWELLING CONCEPT ACCORDING TO IRD* Endo-upwelling is an upwelling of rich waters coming from the deep ocean layer by thermal convection through the porous limestone bedrock of the atoll. It appears at the basaltic substrate level at 3000-5000 meters depth; this geothermal flow results in the output to the coral reefs of deep water that is very rich in nutrients. Pure sea waters, coming from the depths of the ocean, are full of minerals and marine ions, continuing their enrichment during their journey through the limestone and reef porous substrates. This significant provision of nutrients ensures the development of the pelagic life and gives to the lagoon water its unique purity and richness. Polynesian Polynesian Lagoon Water COMPOSITION (INDICATIVE AVERAGE VALUES) - Sulfur : 1015 mg/l - Magnesium : >1000 ppm - Potassium : >220 ppm - Sodium : >7500 ppm - Calcium : 215 mg/l USES By nature, lagoon water has remineralizing, revitalizing, refreshing, purifying and decongestant virtues. It will therefore provide a wide range of uses, including : - Remineralizing care products for face and body, - Tonifying shower gels, - Hair products, - Make-up removing and toning lotions, - Solar waters, cooling sprayers, - Tonic waters.
