Research Achievements Working on various aspects of biology of vascular plants of Rajasthan for almost two and half decades. This has included taxonomy, distribution, morphology, cytology, ecology, Anatomy, phytochemistry, ethnobotany and experimental studies. Research Achievements during the last five years : More than 40 (total 135 research papers) research papers have been published in various national and international journals.
Discovered Ophioglossum lusitanicaum, O. parvifolium Selaginella reticulate, Pteris vittata subsp.emodi, Hypodematium crenatum subsp. loyalii and Cheilanthes brefrons as the new species to the pteridophytic flora of Rajasthan. A new species of Ophioglossum to the world namely O. indicum Yadav & Goswami sp. nov. has been discovered from Rajasthan, India. Pteridophytic flora of various regions of Rajasthan has been worked out. Studies on angiospermic flora of Rajasthan and ethnobotany has culminated into the Flora of South Central Rajasthan 2011 (Scientific Publisher, Jodhpur). Seven new species of angiospermic taxa for Rajasthan flora namely Solanum sisymbriifolium Lam. Solanum jecquemontii (Solanaceae), Senna uniflora (Mill.) Irwin & Barneby (Leguminosae: Ceasalpinioideae ), Mesithus virgatus (Mimosaceae), Cleome burmannii (Cleomaceae), Spigelia anthelmia L. (Spigeliaceae), Tacca leontopicaloides (L.) O.Kuntze (Taccaceae) have been made.
