SPH s a mesh-free Lagrangan method and well suted to the smulaton of complex and free surface flows. The SPH method was orgnally used to model astrophyscal problems by Lucy [7] and Gngold and Monaghan [8]. Threedmensonal SPH method has been studed numercally by Monaghan [6] n a feld of astrophyscal flud dynamcs processes. We obtan the SPH equatons from the contnuum equatons of flud dynamcs by nterpolatng from set of ponts whch may be dsordered. Ths nterpolaton s based on the theory of ntegral nterpolants usng nterpolaton kernels whch approxmate the delta functon. The nterpolants beng analytc functons can be dfferentated wthout usng grds. The SPH approxmaton, whch conssts of the partcle approxmaton and the kernel approxmaton, s performed wthn the current support doman. The value of a functon defnng a physcal quantty can be approxmated by ts values at a number of neghborng partcles. The SPH method uses the concept of ntegral representaton of a feld functon f(x by the followng dentty < f(r >= f(r W ( r r, hdr, (1 where r and r are the poston vectors, W s the smoothng functon or kernel functon, and h s the smoothng length defnng the nfluence radus of W. We converted the contnuous ntegral representaton (1 nto dscretzed forms as a summaton over all the partcles n the support doman. In SPH, there are varous formulatons for vscosty. In the momentum equaton, the ntroducton of a vscous term s necessary not only to consder vscd fluds and no slp boundary condtons, but also to provde the stablty to the system and to prevent nter-partcle penetraton. We have mplemented ths method on three-dmensonal cases, n partcular on the nteracton between waves and structures; and the propagaton of waves towards a slope for waves generated by oblque pston type wave-maker. The three-dmensonal case of the model has been shown to produce three-dmensonal phenomenon,.e., the collson of a sngle wave wth rgd ball structures and ts passng around the obstacle. In summary, an mproved SPH model based on renormalzaton can be successfully used to smulate three-dmensonal wave problems. References [1] G. Oger, M. Dorng, B. Alessandrn, P. Ferrant (2007.
