I decided to ask 13 females and 12 males, this is because overall my target audience is mainly aimed at females due to the main characters being female. I also decided to ask 12 male because I feel like my film will also attract to this audience due to the female characters being the male gaze. 35+ 4% How old are you? 25-29 16% 30-35 19-24 15-18 4 The most two popular age groups that I asked were 15-18 year olds and 19-24. The least popular age group were 35+. This means that the film will mainly be aimed towards teenagers and young adults. I feel this is the most appropriate target audience for my film as its mainly consists of this age group. Do you prefer a happy ending for the protagonist or the antagonist? Antagonist 44% For this question I asked the audience if they would prefer a happy ending for the protagonist or the antagonist. The most popular answer for this question was protagonist. This means in my film I will do a happy end for the protagonist instead of antagonist. Protagonist 56%

This means I would like this to be the main theme in my horror film as this attracts my target audience. The exorcist 11% What 7ilms bellow have you seen? Both of these films are based around demons. I hope to take inspiration from both of theses, I hope to use some of there shot types in order to get the same reaction from the audience. This means that the film title I will be using is The Uninvited.
What props would you like to see in a supernatural horror movie? Rocking chair 29% Crosses 16% Doll Ouija board 31% When asking my target audience what props they would like to see in a supernatural horror movie, the most popular prop was the Ouija board. Another popular prop was a rocking chair as this is very conventional for most supernatural horror films. There were also two other options, which was a Doll and also a cross. In order to attract the target audience I will be using a Ouija board as the main prop in my horror film. I will also try and include the other props, as they are all conventional for horror films. Do you prefer 7ilms to have a happy or sad ending? sad 64% Happy 36% I asked my target audience if they would prefer my film to have a happy or sad ending. More than half of my target audience said that they would prefer a sad ending for a supernatural horror film and the other 36% said they would prefer a happy ending. This means that I will be ending my film with a sad ending in order to attract my target audience, I also feel that this would be different compared to most supernatural horror films as its usually conventional for supernatural horror films to end happy. This would also be going against Todrov s theory. moderate Do you prefer fast or slow paste trailers? mixed 2 slow fast 52% For my questionnaire I asked the audience whether they prefer fast or slow paste trailers. More than 50% of the audience said they prefer fast paste trailers for supernatural horror films. A quarter said they prefer a mix of fast and slow paste trailers. I feel that I would want my trailer to be most fast paste as I feel this goes best with my genre. Yet I also would like it to have partly slow paste, as I feel this would be a good idea when wanted to make the audience scared.
Would you like to see the 7ilm end with a clif7hanger? no yes 76% Next I asked my target audience whether they would like the film to end with a cliff-hanger. More than 75% of the audiences answered with yes and the rest said no. This means that I would like my film to end with a cliffhanger and challenge Todorovs theory. Instagram 2 Facebook 2 Twitter The most popular social media network that the audience would like to be linked to the film was both Facebook and Instagram. This is because my target audience is mostly teenagers and young adults meaning that these two social medias attract this audience. If I were to link social media networks to my film I feel that these two social medias would be the two I would link to my film in order to attract my target audience. What 7ilm poster do you prefer? Insidious Mama Sinister 52% Annabelle 2 Lastly, I asked my target audience which film poster they preferred. The most popular answer was the sinister poster. The second popular film poster was the Annabelle poster. With these results I hope to try and make my film poster similar to these twos theme.
