State Funeral for President George H.W. Bush Situation: The 41st President of the United States George Herbert Walker Bush passed away. The State Funeral is a predesignated National Special Security Event (NSSE). Current schedule of events (NCR): Body arrives Andrews Monday afternoon and goes directly to US Capitol for service. (No procession down Pennsylvania Avenue). Body lies in State at Capitol Rotunda following service through Wednesday morning for public viewing. Funeral at National Cathedral Wednesday morning (tentatively 11:00 a.m.). Body departs for Texas via JB Andrews Wednesday afternoon.
