Parents, this workbook can be used to teach vocabulary or to review. Some activities will teach the lesson on their own, and others will need to be taught. The word searches are more than just recognizing and finding words in a puzzle. They will need to be colored in just like the puzzle below, and then the definitions will be colored the same color. Diagonal words will not be introduced until the end of the workbook, but a couple of examples are shown here for the sake of knowing how to color them. The review lessons are only a review of vocabulary, and new lessons are taught, using the words your children have already learned. Lesson 19 is a review of skills and rules, using new words. It will give your child a chance to use what he has learned to decode and learn new words. Lesson 20 is a review of the entire workbook, rules and words. Some of it will seem repetitive after lesson 19, but it will help for your child to keep repeating the rules as they will not always be printed out in front of him in future vocabulary and reading lessons.
