The samples of sand and macrobenthos were collected around Ao Phrao beach in August 2013, October 2013 and January 2014 (1 month, 3 months and 6 months after oil spill leaked). Thirteen taxa of three phylum of macrobenthic animals were found. The result showed that density, taxa richness and taxa composition of macrobenthic animals decreased after 1 month of oil spill leaked and slightly increased after 3 months. Macrobenthos decreased again after 6 months. This study demonstrated that macrobenthic community might be in the process of recovery process. Macrobenthic community needs to continue the research to confirm this result.
