Unit Systems of Equations & Inequalities Review of Linear Systems of Equations: Systems of Equations: A system of equations involves or more equations that are considered at the same time. 5 Solving by Substitution: Solve for one variable in one of the equations (choose the one that is easiest to solve for). Substitute this expression into the other equation. 7 Solving by Elimination: Arrange the equations so that one is above the other and corresponding terms and the = sign are aligned.
